Terrible Two
I am here and settled into Norfolk again.
The most notable changes are
1) the baby is HUGE (pics to follow of course
) and,
2) Miss Thang is most notably...
most definitely...
and most tragically...
in the TERRIBLE TWOS
!
For those of you that need a refresher course in what this looks like or have never witnessed it yourself, well here ya go.
It starts off looking like this:
then escalates to this:
Even in the car no one is safe!
and just as it starts....
her brother gets into the act:
and after that, it the whole thing just wasn't any fun.
I have found that pulling the camera out when the tantrum starts automatically stops the theatrics. The little punk is so used to smiling and being cute for the camera, she just can't keep up the frowns and fits and I start getting pictures like this:
I just bring out the best in people

Gotta' love a lady who knows some tricks! Hope you learn them all and teach Mom. What a big help that would be!
Thanks for sharing pics of the cutie-patooties!
And I would agree you bring out the best in people. (Was trying to come up with something funny to go here but eh it's not working!)
One day, when she has children, you can pull out these pictures and remind her that no one escapes the terrible twos!
Keep up the good job! ....ummm does the momma have a camera?? maybe she needs a few hints? lol
Oh lol ~ toooooooo kewt!!!
Mornin Glorie....yup - the worlds cutiest babies should really hook up - of course Caden would say "Hook-em-Horns" and do the sign too....that second picture certainly says "YOU ARE NOT THE BOSS OF ME"....too cute is what I say!!!! ILYM
Hold your ground K8t!
Aw, what a dolly! The good, er, other news is, you think two's interesting. Wait til she tries three on for size. heh.
She is just way too cute....
Aww sweetness! As awful as the terrible twos were... I think the Contrary fours are worse!
my niece Ashley never had a tantrum around my husband and I said,"you're in for a treat." He just couldn't believe it!!!! lol not his little sweetie-she is 14yr old now
What a cool idea!!!! I'm going to grab the camera the next my son is being "challenging". Miss Thang is absolutely adorable!
I love it....now all I can do is pray that Kieran reacts the same way to the camera when he turns two...because as often as that child is in the crosshairs of a camera...he will NEVER have a chance to be terrible...lol.

Co-habitating with a two year old is such an experience! It looks like you are doing all the right things and it's funny how the little stinkers can go from bad to glad in the blink of an eye. Peace
you certainly bring out somethin' in me. i don't know if it's the best...
but people tell me it is.
Yeah, the two's were terrible. But just wait until the eye-rollin' you're not the boss of me and I got a mouth to prove it 13's.
By then, it is no longer cute.
@complicatedlight - all those people can't be wrong now can they?
You go, Grandma!
@shellisland - well she isn't called "Miss Thang" for nothing!
I hope you're doing well..I've missed seeing your font.Kate, I've found there is a similarity between toddlers and teens. Goes like this: they want to do something but can't quite do it without their parent's help, so they allow parents to get involved but get angry about it. I was told once, when regaling a group of teachers with this truth, that elderly parents also fit into this category. Loved the pictures, btw. What a face!
@k8tthelate - awwww... i suppose not.
I don't get the impression that you always think what you bring out in me is the best. lol
I have one of those punks who cannot pout on camera. She cut her finger once and was bledding all over the place and bawling her eyes out. I, heartless dad that I am, grabbed the camera to finally get a non smiling pic. She saw me though and with tears and blood everywhere smiled a huge hammy smile.
Punk.
I love you. I miss you. Have fun but come home soon.
cowboy hugs, katekate.

:D
love these pictures!
I think the terrible twos must sort of echo throughout childhood, dontcha think? LOL
Awwwwwwwwwwwwww.
I just wanted to pass along the great news... Bella went to the vet today and tested negative for feline leukemia! YAAAAAAAAAY!
Someone gave me a rather brutal book, Toddler Taming I think it was called, when my son was being totally appalling. He grew out of it. Eventually he grew into the terrible teens!
