John Update
And he's going to be ok.
To all of you who have prayed and offered help, I am so grateful I don't even know where to begin. Forgive me if I have not responded to each of you yet, but know how much I appreciate it.
I am told by Ron (masterboatburner) who was behind him, the crash "was spectacular!" Ron is a well trained medic and while he tended John, the others took pictures (because that's what your buddies do
)
Personally, this is something I never want to see:
your buddy laid on the road and the lifeflight helicopter in the background. Ron (the boatburner) is the scruffy dude in the grey standing looking down.
Today John is better and sitting up a bit. I heard they made him walk and I think he's eating a little. I spoke on the phone with him and he was still a little loopy from the drugs. At the time he was insisting he was leaving tomorrow and riding his bike back to Texas (I could hear laughing in the background). Ron got the phone and reassured me he was NOT riding back nor was he leaving anytime soon. As he put it, "He's not as good as he sounds".
I didn't think so.
I will spare you the other photos, but I think he looks pretty good.
God is good.
So are all of you.
Thank you.

So glad to hear he feels good enough to be demanding his bike!! lol Praying for him to recover. :)
Amen ~ God is good. Continued prayers....
@BloodBoughtBiker - thank you, thank you! and I do understand that fear. I admit my heart stopped when I got the first text telling me what had happened and saw the pictures. bless you and I will keep your hubby in my safe travel prayers as well.
@guestbrief - well, he's still a little loopy, but yes, God is good and I am so happy he's ok! thanks again for your prayers.
I'm one of those people who hide their eyes when they show 'spectacular' crashes on TV and movies. It hurts me to see things like that! Maybe because I've crashed and burned a couple of times myself . I take it that John had on a 'brain bucket' because I don't see much damage to his noggin (and a fine one it is). He must have had an angel riding with him and I know lots of good prayer warriors are sending up their best. Thanks for the update! Peace
@shellisland - thankfully he does ride in full gear. thank you for the prayers!
That's awesome! Glad he's doing well.
Prayers for him...glad he is doing much better. I've been down on a bike before and it's one of the most freightening moments of my entire life. God is good!!
@babiesone1963 - thank you so much for taking the time to pray for him. I have been clipped once and it scared the dickens out of me-I can't imagine hitting it at 75.
.
Whew Moorenin Glorie...there's nothin in this world like prayers answered....I'm glad the boatburner was with him...but tell John if you run around with a boatburner - you might get road rash..
..(that was a joke Ron!!!) Where were they - looks like North New Mexico...ilymoore
@mlbncsga - they are in MT. They never even made it to canada
EMT's are great-I've seen them in action being a nurse all those years.
so glad he wears all his gear and helmet
That is so very scary. I read your post last night before I went to bed, and of COURSE I said prayers for him. I am glad he's doing okay. Please keep us posted!
I am so pleased that he is doing as well as he is....if they life flighted him out of the accident scene they must have thought it was pretty darn serious!!! We will continue to pray for a smooth recovery
Ruth Ann
Yay for good reports. May his recovery speed on!
Thank you so much for the update - I'm pleased to hear the he is doing well. He's still on the prayer list...
I am so glad that your friend is going to be OK.
I've been praying. Good to see him conscious. Motorcycles are incredibly dangerous to crash.
Computer was down so I missed the accident post. Glad that things are going this well. Will pray for continued healing. Motorcycles worry me. I cringe when I hear my eldest and her BF are "tripping". They have a rally in TX soon. I think Eldorado...
